My installation addresses the phenomenon of bioluminescence in Puerto Rico while also highlighting ocean pollution caused by plastic. I use recycled material that was part of a previous installation. The floating circles, made from photoluminescent pigment granulate, charge during the day and glow at night, resembling the algae. With a diameter of 15 cm, the 1500 circles float on the water, their arrangement constantly changing due to the wind. They visually resemble algae and attract attention even during the day through the changing light reflections. The installation covers an area of 40 to 50 square meters.
